[Sample Presentation] Collection of Processing Examples Using Airbrush

Introducing processing examples using resin-based polishing materials "POLYMEDIA" for reducing working hours and improving work environments!

On our company website, we introduce processing examples using the resin-based polishing material "POLYMEDIA." Our polishing materials, which emphasize quality manufactured in Japan, minimize differences in processing quality due to lot variations, enabling stable processing. We have received high praise from many customers who are already using our products. In addition to materials for dry blasting, we also handle various resins and sizes for wet blasting (liquid honing). We provide images before and after processing through related links, along with clear explanations. Please take a look. 【Content Highlights (Partial)】 ■ Deburring of sealing materials in the electronic component manufacturing process ■ Paint stripping ■ Cleaning and surface finishing (decoration) ■ Removal of thin burrs from die-cast products * For more details, please refer to the [Catalog Download]. * If you would like a sample, please apply through the [Contact Form].

Steel Magic

Does not contain silica, which causes silicosis! Can be used as disposable media.

"Steel Magic" is a product suitable for the removal of thick reinforced coatings and surface preparation from sturdy iron structures such as bridges, tanks (car washes), ships, and pipelines, where etching (surface preparation) is required to improve paint adhesion. It processes at about twice the speed of typical blast media while generating less dust, allowing for the rapid removal of stronger epoxy and urethane coatings. By adjusting the discharge pressure and abrasive size, etching treatment can also be performed. 【Features】 ■ Rapid removal of stronger epoxy and urethane coatings ■ Capable of etching treatment ■ Can be reused approximately five times at low pressure (35-80 psi) ■ Can be used as a disposable media at high pressure (100-120 psi) ■ Does not contain silica, which can cause pneumoconiosis *For more details, please refer to the PDF materials or feel free to contact us.

Deburring of electronic components [Blast processing case]

Deburring of sealing materials in the electronic component manufacturing process.

We specialize in deburring electronic components such as capacitors, diodes, LEDs, transistors, inductors, and phototransistors, which require high-quality processing. We mainly use carefully selected domestic materials, and the quality of the abrasives is consistently uniform, allowing for stable processing without work damage. If abrasives get trapped in the terminal area, you can continue to use them by changing the material or particle size. Please give U.S.T.F.E.'s POLYMEDIA a try. *Types of burrs that can be removed (thin burrs, dam burrs, side burrs, gate burrs, resin flash, etc.) We offer options for dry blasting and wet blasting (liquid honing). Samples of abrasives are available.

Cleaning of recesses and grooves [Blast processing example]

By using air blast cleaning for depressions and grooves that cannot be completely cleaned with a brush, it is possible to efficiently clean them in a short time!

By using our Polyplus (urea resin), we can efficiently clean dirt and residues that cannot be removed by brushes stuck in grooves and recesses, without damaging the surface. If the workpiece is cast, it is possible to clean using either Polyplus (urea resin abrasive) or Type Three (melamine resin abrasive). We recommend selecting the abrasive based on the quality and surface condition you desire. Due to our unique production method, there is minimal variation between lots, allowing us to process any surface with the same quality. In particular, our long-time customers highly appreciate the "quality of the product that is evident upon use." We can provide samples, so please feel free to contact us if you have any interest.

Paint stripping of aluminum cans [Blast processing case study]

By using air blasting for paint stripping, it is possible to improve work efficiency without the need for organic solvent stripping or labor-intensive manual work with wire brushes!

The surface condition of aluminum cans after processing varies depending on the type of resin used. 1. When using our product "Polyextra," it is possible to leave a glossy finish while only stripping the surface coating. This is a polishing material made of unsaturated polyester resin. 2. When using our product "Polyplus," the surface is lightly cut, resulting in a matte finish. It is possible to retain designs such as grooves and indentations. This is a polishing material made of urea resin (urea-formaldehyde resin). 3. When using our product "Type Three," the surface becomes matte. It allows for efficient and quick cleaning. This is a polishing material made of melamine resin. All photos show processing with polishing materials of size "#60-80 (325-180μm)," and the blasting conditions are standardized. In the case of thin aluminum, such as aluminum cans, alumina or glass beads can quickly create holes, but our resin-based polishing materials do not easily create holes. However, due to the way the blasting is applied, the aluminum may expand (stretch), so it is necessary to understand the physical properties of the blasting target and set the blasting conditions accordingly.

Cleaning of Castings [Blasting Processing Example]

It is possible to efficiently clean dirt, residues, and rust on the surface of castings and molds in a short amount of time!

For hard metals like cast iron, using Type 3 (melamine resin) with high cutting power allows for efficient cleaning. Using glass beads gradually cuts into the mold surface, causing edges and fine details to disappear with each cleaning, but Type 3 (melamine resin), being a resin, can clean hard metals with minimal damage. This method is particularly effective for cleaning residual vulcanized material on mold surfaces during rubber vulcanization molding. Additionally, there is almost no damage to the blast machine body, nozzles, hoses, and other fixtures, which significantly reduces maintenance costs. By switching from harmful and toxic organic solvents to abrasives for cleaning, it also enhances worker safety and improves the workplace environment.
